“He Is Your Destiny” (re-post)

“He Is Your Destiny”

He is your Redeemer; Your Forever Friend
His love, mercy, and grace will never end
He is mighty and invincible in His power
Eternal Lord and King; Shelter and Tower

Dependence upon Jesus makes you strong
His Word sustains and carries you along
Prayer is your source of peace and hope
Brings you through; enables you to cope

Remember all that He has done for you
He has forgiven you and made you new
His Truth is like a mirror; in it you see
Your Savior’s Face; He is your destiny

Psalms 37:39-40 (NASB)
39 But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in time of trouble.
40 The LORD helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, Because they take refuge in Him.

“How Beautiful It Will Be”

“How Beautiful It Will Be”

Moments tick by, and the anticipation grows
When Jesus will return, only the Father knows
God’s Children await the arrival of their King
Joy stirs within as praises to Him they bring

They read His Word and pray for those lost
Mindful that Jesus paid for them a heavy cost
How unfathomable are the riches of His grace
How beautiful it will be for them to see His face

Heaven’s joy will be for them to dwell with Him
To know as they are fully known; to be rid of sin
Hope they find not in this tent of flesh and bone
Only in their Savior; through Jesus Christ alone

Titus 2:13 (NASB) looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus

“Best Friend”

“Best Friend”

Amidst the waves; the thundering tide
I know that my Savior stays by my side
When chaos and confusion fill the air
I will not be struck down by despair

I will walk by faith alone, not by sight
In His power; the strength of His might
He sought me out; He called my name
He forgave me; He paid for my shame

Each day I spend with my Best Friend
My relationship with Jesus has no end
When I finally meet Him face to face
Thankful tears will flow for His grace

He was with me when I needed Him
He released me from my prison of sin
And in that moment, He revealed to me
I was His forever, and always would be

Psalm 100:5 (NASB)
For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations.

“Spiritual Warfare”

“Spiritual Warfare”

Around us a battle rages
Hidden from our sight
Light and darkness in conflict
Angels and demons fight

Our enemy threatens us
With his lies, awful schemes
But God’s word teaches us
What spiritual warfare means

We are to put on His armor
Through the Word in prayer
Submit to our Savior, Jesus
He whose victory we share

Ephesians 6:12-13 (NASB)
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

Michael W. Smith – “End of the Book”

“Where’s Your Heart”

“Where’s Your Heart”

Where’s your heart today
Is it fixed upon your Savior
Or have you tucked it away
So you can deal with it later

What’s troubling your soul
You won’t give Him in prayer
You feel so distant from Him
Yet the truth is that He cares

Remember at times like these
To take refuge in His Word
Get down upon your knees
Know that you’ll be heard

Conquer lies in your mind
With His Holy Scripture
Only then will you find
He fills the entire picture

Psalms 62:8 (NASB)
Trust in Him at all times, O people;
Pour out your heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah.

I Peter 5:7 (NASB)
casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

“Alive In Christ”

“Alive in Christ”

Grace and Truth; Mercy and Love
Poured out upon us by God above
In Jesus Christ, Joy of Life to live
Mighty Savior; faithful to forgive
Declared righteous; pure in Him
Delivered from the power of sin
Hope is reborn; a renewed heart
Alive in Christ; a brand new start
No cause to fear; not even in death
Forever in His arms; at final breath

II Corinthians 4:6 (NASB)
For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

Romans 8:10 (NASB)
If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
