“More To Our Existence”

“More To Our Existence”

There’s more to our existence
Than going through the motions
We get preoccupied with self
Carried adrift by our emotions

Life becomes very unstable
Thoughts turned inside out
Your Word quells the chaos
Banishes all fear and doubt

You’re the most glorified
When we’re satisfied in You
Trusting You wholly in heart
Firmly rooted in Your Truth

Sin for us holds no appeal
If Your statutes we obey
Nor will feelings rule us
If we follow You and pray

Psalms 19:11 (NASB)
The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Psalms 16:11 (NASB)
You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

“Theater Of My Dreams”

“Theater Of My Dreams”

Just beyond the edge of my imagination
In the darkened theater of my dreams
Plays across the screen a familiar scene
Sheer terror silences my fearful screams

The sky appears ominous; the air is still
As if the atmosphere is holding its breath
I’m rooted to one spot, unable to move
Realizing that I’m face to face with death

A swirling vortex of a tornado descends
Blocking out all of the light of the day
As its force pulls me upward to the sky
That’s when I immediately start to pray

Then I feel a deep peace I can’t explain
Protected by an unseen angelic canopy
I’m gently lowered back to the ground
The blackness is dispelled, and I’m free

“Wondrous God Of Grace”

“Wondrous God Of Grace”

Darkness intensifies; the oppression is strong
The combat escalates between right and wrong
Jesus rescued us out of the deep pit we were in
He shattered the shackles of death and of sin

He is calling His people to watch and to pray
Be prepared for His coming; any time of day
Something looms on the horizon we can’t see
But He is in control; He knows what will be

We are safe in His arms; trusting in His care
Nothing catches the Sovereign One unaware
He created the heavens; put the stars in place
Author of Salvation; Wondrous God of Grace

Psalms 86:10 (NASB)
For You are great and do wondrous deeds;
You alone are God.

Isaiah 40:26 (NASB)
Lift up your eyes on high
And see who has created these stars,
The One who leads forth their host by number,
He calls them all by name;
Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power,
Not one of them is missing.

“Love One Another”

“Love One Another”

Sometimes we’re angry
Emotions get in the way
Thoughts fill our minds
Of hurtful things to say

But the tongue is a fire
Words can cut the heart
Before we even know it
We tear each other apart

This life is so very short
Don’t squander it away
Let’s use our time wisely
Get on our knees to pray

We must love one another
As You’ve told us to do
So we in turn discover
True fellowship in You

I John 4:11 (NASB)
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

I Corinthians 16:14 (NASB)
Let all that you do be done in love.

“This Prayer I Pray”

“This Prayer I Pray”

For you who have suffered loss
For you who are feeling alone
For you Jesus went to the Cross
For you He died to make His own

For you who have wandered away
For you who are in deep distress
For you to Him this prayer I pray
For you to find Him your Fortress

For you who fear the road ahead
For you who fret the days to come
For you He keeps safe in His stead
For you let His will for you be done

Numbers 6:24-26 (NASB)
24 The LORD bless you, and keep you;
25 The LORD make His face shine on you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The LORD lift up His countenance on you,
And give you peace.
