“Song Of The Saints” (re-post)

“Song of the Saints”

It is the grateful song of the saints
They sing to their God in praise
A spiritual melody in their hearts
As their thanks to Him they raise

It is reliance upon their Redeemer
His finished work upon the Cross
It is for them He spilled His blood
Purchased them at so great a cost

It is the freedom they have in Him
A higher calling and excellent way
To live out the Truth of the gospel
Here and now and every single day

Isaiah 12:2 (NASB)
“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”

Colossians 3:16 (NASB)
Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

“His Holy Light”

“His Holy Light”

As myriads of stars illumine the nighttime sky
So do Saints in Christ display His Holy Light
Purified and refined by the Truth of His Word
Walking by faith in Him, not by physical sight

Apart from Him, they are like ships lost at sea
He loses none; He brings them safely to shore
He is their Shepherd Who watches over them
He is their God Who loves them forevermore

Psalms 36:9 (NASB) For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.

“For His Glory”

“For His Glory”

Who are we that God notices us?
Creator of All; Transcendent King
Why did He send His Son to die?
On the Cross, a Perfect Offering

Why does He hear our prayers?
In Jesus, we have righteousness
How can we receive forgiveness?
When our sins to Him we confess

Why were we put upon this earth?
For His glory, and because He lives
What motivates us to live for Him?
Because He is ours; and we are His

Ephesians 2:4-7 (NASB)
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

“King of Kings”

“King of Kings”

Let us surrender ourselves unto Him
Everlasting God Who Reigns on High
He fashioned the stars and planets
Architect of heaven, earth, and sky

All things exist by His Mighty Hand
Ancient of Days, before time began
Master Artist; Magnificent Wonders
Divine Providence; Sovereign Plan

Pure and Holy; A Consuming Fire
His Ways and Thoughts inscrutable
Deigned to reveal Himself to man
King of Kings, eternal, immutable

Nehemiah 9:6 (NASB)
You alone are the LORD. You have made the heavens, The heaven of heavens with all their host, The earth and all that is on it, The seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them And the heavenly host bows down before You.

“He Loves And Cares For You”

“He Loves And Cares For You”

When storm clouds darken your day
Your mind and emotions are spent
You don’t have the strength to pray
You’re wondering where God went

No matter what you may think or feel
Dear One, He hasn’t moved from you
Promises laid out in His Word are real
His absolute, eternal measure of Truth

Nothing can pluck you from His hand
You know that His promises are true
Hide this in your heart and understand
Unfailingly, He loves and cares for you

Jeremiah 31:3 (NASB)
I have loved you with an everlasting love

Hebrews 13:8 (NASB)
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

“Peace and Rest”

“Peace and Rest”

God knows what’s in my heart and mind
It’s Him in prayer daily I’ll seek and find
From the minute I wake, until day’s end
He’s gracious to me; My Faithful Friend

Those times when fear and faith collide
He’s my Deliverer, and in Him I’ll abide
If I rely on myself, I’ll stumble and fall
If I’m trusting in Him, He’ll handle it all

He’ll never leave me; of this I’m aware
I’m kept in His loving and tender care
My fears melt away, for He’s all I need
In Him, I’ve true peace and rest indeed

Psalm 18:2 (NASB) The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NASB) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

“Foretaste of Glory”

Watching and waiting; poised and ready
Many storms arise; God holds us steady
Mortal ills; confusion and chaos abound
He is our Delight; in Him our joy is found

Truth anchors us; a beaming beacon of light
Our hope for the day; our peace in the night
When we praise Him, our faith is expressed
Fears are quieted as the heart enters His rest

In study of His Word, the Spirit gives insight
Wisdom for living and for doing what is right
Fellowship is ours with the Father and His Son
Foretaste of glory; glimpse of eternity to come

1 John 1:1-4 (NASB)
1 What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life—
2 and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us—
3 what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.
4 These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.

“Now Is The Time”

Some say that nothing has changed
The world continues on as it has been
They think talk of prophecy is strange
While ignoring signs in front of them

Immersing themselves in earthly things
Treating God like a distant afterthought
Awareness soon to their minds will bring
Their worldly pursuits amount to naught

Whether it is pride or just blind ambition
Ignoring reality does not make it go away
As Biblical predictions come to fruition
Now is the time for salvation, do not delay

Isaiah 55:6 (NASB)
Seek the LORD while He may be found;
Call upon Him while He is near.

“Tomorrow May Be Too Late”

“Tomorrow May Be Too Late”

Anger fans the flame; the hostility intensifies
Momentum builds; it’s only a matter of time
The saints wait expectantly; with anticipation
For their Redeemer; the God of their salvation

Suddenly, He’ll remove them from the stage
Exiting a world of sin, lost in its rebellious rage
What Scripture predicts will be brought to bear
Let this Truth be known; dear reader, be aware

God never changes; His Word remains the same
Seek Him, or you’ll only have yourself to blame
Choose your eternity; don’t gamble on your fate
Heed His call now, for tomorrow may be too late

II Peter 3:9 (NASB)
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

James 4:14 (NASB)
Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.

“Joyful Song”

“Joyful Song”

God will meet all of your needs
When darkness descends upon you
His glory lights your way
He guards and guides you
With His steadying, gentle Hand
Even when it seems all is lost
He holds You in the palm of His hand
His love, mercy, and grace
Surround and protect You always
Rest in Him, dear ones
For He will soon lead us Home
We will worship, praise, and enjoy Him
For eternity and beyond
His joyful song in our hearts forever

Psalms 100:2 (NASB) Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing

“No Coincidence”

“No Coincidence”

No coincidence, luck, or chance
Lofty thoughts of human invention
Nothing occurs by happenstance
So it is with this in mind I mention

It is God who holds our future
We’re not victims of nebulous fate
Yet at times, we don’t understand
Upon Him we must learn to wait

He is the beginning and the end
Far greater than us, outside time
Proud fools who dare to defy Him
Face the wrath of judgment divine

His Spirit calls to searching hearts
Have eyes to see and ears to hear
His return comes swiftly, quickly
Earth’s warning signs are clear

Keep looking up, His Holy Saints
Quick as lightning, He’ll appear
Eternity future with Him awaits
A welcome departure from here

I Corinthians 1:27-30 (NASB)
27 but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,
28 and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,
29 so that no man may boast before God.
30 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption

Psalms 2:1-4 (NASB)
1 Why are the nations in an uproar And the peoples devising a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us tear their fetters apart And cast away their cords from us!”
4 He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them.

“He Is Sovereign”

“He Is Sovereign”

God the Father answers our prayers
Many times in ways we cannot see
For He is sovereign; we are not
And only He knows what will be

His thoughts are not our thoughts
They are infinitely above our own
He is good always; all of the time
He does not leave us to go it alone

He views us through His Son Jesus
Made spotless in His righteousness
By His Spirit, we have been sealed
And He sanctifies us unto holiness

I Chronicles 29:11 (NASB)
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.

Galatians 3:26 (NASB)
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

“At Your Weakest, He Is Strongest”

“At Your Weakest, He Is Strongest”

God will provide a way for you
When it seems there is no way
What appears to be impossible
Is possible with Him as you pray

Fearful thoughts that assail you
Are only the enemy’s vicious lies
Feeding your mind with His Word
Makes your thinking clear and wise

It is not about what you can do
But what He can do through you
At your weakest, He is strongest
And He is always faithful and true

II Corinthians 12:10 (NASB)
Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

“Loved And Adored”

“Loved And Adored”

God isn’t ever too busy for you
He isn’t in a big rush or hurry
He’s available for you anytime
You don’t ever have to worry

If you’re feeling pushed aside
Forgotten, alone, and ignored
Go to Him and all hurts confide
In Him you’re loved and adored

Psalms 139:1-3 (NASB)
1 O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You understand my thought from afar.
3 You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.

Psalms 56:8 (NASB)
8 You have taken account of my wanderings; Put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your book?

“Joy Of His Salvation”

“Joy Of His Salvation”

May God pour out His blessings today
Joy of His salvation permeate your soul
Your mind would be at peace as you pray
For He has everything under His control

No better place to be than in His hands
Under the shadow of His mighty wings
Your joys and sorrows He understands
Comfort in His Word to you He brings

Talk to Him, but be sure to listen too
Be open to learn what He has to say
Draw closer to Him; He will to You
His Truth will always light your way

Salvation belongs to the LORD; Your blessing be upon Your people! Selah.

Nehemiah 8:10 (NASB)
the joy of the LORD is your strength.
