“He Will Prevail”

“He Will Prevail”

Concerns and worries are left behind
Amidst the King’s Majestic Presence
Thoughts of Him fill heart and mind
Eclipsing all cares and circumstance

Praise and thanks rise to His Throne
Alpha and Omega, the First and Last
All Glory and Honor is due He Alone
Now, future, throughout ages past

Sovereign over the entire universe
Fashioned in most exquisite detail
Mighty Redeemer from sin’s curse
Forever and Ever He will prevail

Revelation 1:8 (NASB) “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

“For His Glory”

“For His Glory”

Who are we that God notices us?
Creator of All; Transcendent King
Why did He send His Son to die?
On the Cross, a Perfect Offering

Why does He hear our prayers?
In Jesus, we have righteousness
How can we receive forgiveness?
When our sins to Him we confess

Why were we put upon this earth?
For His glory, and because He lives
What motivates us to live for Him?
Because He is ours; and we are His

Ephesians 2:4-7 (NASB)
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

“Foretaste of Glory”

Watching and waiting; poised and ready
Many storms arise; God holds us steady
Mortal ills; confusion and chaos abound
He is our Delight; in Him our joy is found

Truth anchors us; a beaming beacon of light
Our hope for the day; our peace in the night
When we praise Him, our faith is expressed
Fears are quieted as the heart enters His rest

In study of His Word, the Spirit gives insight
Wisdom for living and for doing what is right
Fellowship is ours with the Father and His Son
Foretaste of glory; glimpse of eternity to come

1 John 1:1-4 (NASB)
1 What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life—
2 and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us—
3 what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.
4 These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.

“An Eye To The Sky”

“An Eye To The Sky”

A moment of trial; then the joy and glory of eternity
A darkened mirror; then the dawning of a new reality
Awfulness of sin; then its ugliness banished from sight
A decaying, mortal coil; perfected in incorruptible light

An earthly mind ; then a clear mind without limitation
A faith hoped for; then with Jesus, Author of Salvation
A weak, frail vessel; then no physical impediments at all
An eye to the sky; then Heaven-bound at trumpet’s call

I Peter 5:10 (NASB) After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

“As A Thief In The Night”

“As A Thief In The Night”

Jesus, Rock upon which we stand
Our Savior, Redeemer, Foundation
King of Glory, we are in His Hands
Holy One, Author of Our Salvation

Peoples, nations rise against Him
None cannot nor will ever prevail
Fools deceived by their own sin
Oblivious to impending travail

Insanity is the order of the day
Evil on the earth waxes worse
But God hears His saints pray
Against darkness and its curse

We are living in the last days
We must be His salt and light
Quickly He will snatch His Bride
Sudden as a thief in the night

I Thessalonians 5:2 (NASB)
For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.

“Your Glory Alone”

“Your Glory Alone”

Life is about You, Jesus
You became sin for me
Made me righteous in You
You paid it all at Calvary

My mind You illumined
My heart softened as clay
You heard my cry within
You showed me the Way

What could I possibly say
What words could express
That could convey to You
My love and thankfulness

For the time that I remain
Until You bring me home
My life is a living sacrifice
Lived for Your glory alone

Galatians 2:20 (NASB)
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

II Corinthians 5:21 (NASB)
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
