“Song Of The Saints” (re-post)

“Song of the Saints”

It is the grateful song of the saints
They sing to their God in praise
A spiritual melody in their hearts
As their thanks to Him they raise

It is reliance upon their Redeemer
His finished work upon the Cross
It is for them He spilled His blood
Purchased them at so great a cost

It is the freedom they have in Him
A higher calling and excellent way
To live out the Truth of the gospel
Here and now and every single day

Isaiah 12:2 (NASB)
“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”

Colossians 3:16 (NASB)
Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

“The Cross of Calvary” (re-post)

“The Cross of Calvary”

You paid the price at the Cross of Calvary
You tasted death; set sin’s prisoners free
You raise to life those who trust in You
You give them hope as only You can do

You love them with a love that never dies
You hear their prayers and their hearts’ cries
You are present, even in their darkest hour
You strengthen them in Your mighty power

You promised that you would come back again
You have said none but the Father knows when
You will gather together all who are Your own
You will lead Your lambs to their eternal home

Romans 6:4 (NASB)
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

I Peter 2:24 (NASB)
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

Colossians 2:13-15 (NASB)
13 When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,
14 having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
15 When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.

“For His Glory”

“For His Glory”

Who are we that God notices us?
Creator of All; Transcendent King
Why did He send His Son to die?
On the Cross, a Perfect Offering

Why does He hear our prayers?
In Jesus, we have righteousness
How can we receive forgiveness?
When our sins to Him we confess

Why were we put upon this earth?
For His glory, and because He lives
What motivates us to live for Him?
Because He is ours; and we are His

Ephesians 2:4-7 (NASB)
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

“Repent”

“Repent”

In His Word, God calls upon all people to repent
His love He did demonstrate in His Son He sent
Punishment for sin was poured out upon Christ
Redemption was provided through His sacrifice

Mercy and grace, a faith made active in the heart
Spiritual renewal, forgiveness; new life, fresh start
The righteous road traveled; the narrow path begun
Hand in hand with Jesus; an eternity with God’s Son

John 3:16-17 (NASB)
16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

I Peter 3:18 (NASB)
For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit

Romans 5:8 (NASB)
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

“For Us”

“For Us”

It was for us Jesus died
For us He was crucified
So in Him we would live
His life He chose to give

For us, He suffered pain
His loss became our gain
No goodness of our own
His righteousness alone

We’ve everything in Him
Full atonement for our sin
Blessed Hope never failing
His Perfect Love prevailing

His Spirit helps us discern
Study Scripture and learn
How to fight and to stand
Follow what He commands

He prepares us for that day
He brings us Home to stay
But until that time arrives
For Him we’ll live our lives

II Corinthians 5:21 (NASB)
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
